Thank you for considering my profile as your Coach or Mentor.  With over 25 years of corporate experience, holding roles in Finance, Operations, Change Management and Human Resources, I am passionate to help professionals and business owners to maximize their potential, transform their performance to achieve business results.
My coaching approach is client-centred, provides practical, innovative solutions and shares relevant perspectives to accelerate individual leadership capabilities so that clients achieve breakthroughs, and become more effective in attaining organizational goals and objectives.
What’s Included in a Coaching Assignment:

• 6, one-hour sessions, 1 session per month over six months. Client has flexibility to design personal preference for duration of coaching sessions.
• Individual Development Plan, jointly developed between Coach and Client.  Where necessary and appropriate, discussions with stakeholders, and expected outcomes
• Engagement with Client’s direct manager through relevant touchpoints to facilitate Client and direct manager to align progress observed and development goals with the organization
• Conduct personality or strengths assessments where meaningful for Client development and awareness

She is an Executive Coach, Business Mentor, and a Learning Facilitator.  She works with clients in areas of leadership development, culture change and business performance transformation.
With over 25 years of corporate management experience, Sook Leng has held roles as Chief Finance Officer, Change Management, Chief Operating Officer and Group Human Resources.  She has been in multiple industries such as hospitality, financial institutions, consulting, airlines, property and education sectors. SookLeng has deep understanding of different workplace cultures backed by her experiences with MNC, family owned, public listed, and non-profits. She brings with her deep expertise in financial management, strategy setting, business transformation, as well as broad experience in harnessing organizational capabilities of its talents, culture, processes, and technology.
Sook Leng has successfully managed business turnarounds, organization restructuring, culture and business transformation, systems automation, succession planning and growth acceleration. She became a certified coach to strengthen her leadership capabilities.  Through coaching conversations with key stakeholders, she successfully facilitated, influenced, and executed high stakes change strategies and transformed teams from mediocre to high performing.
As an external executive coach, SookLeng has worked with senior professionals, including C-Suite Executives responsible for Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing, from financial institutions, trading, healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, e-commerce and policy regulators.  Her coaching clients’ concerns are mainly in career transitions, leadership effectiveness, executive presence, organizational influence, and strategic business thinking.
As an example, Sook Leng coached an experienced HR leader in a multi-national corporation who wanted to work on influencing skills. She helped the leader to strategize a roadmap with key development areas which included improving on articulating business-centric terminologies, building social capital, prioritizing relationship over tasks, and leveraging on personal strengths.  Coaching outcomes included heightened confidence and increased span of influence at regional level, where the leaders’ local initiative was adopted as regional project.
Sook Leng hold an MBA (Finance) and is a certified Accountant with ACCA.  She is a Professional Certified Coach from the International Coaching Federation and a certified NLP Coach. Sook Leng is also certified user of a diverse range of assessment tools.
Apart from coaching, SookLeng is an avid writer, and contributes leadership articles to a learning portal, Necole.  She gets invited to be panel speaker for topics related to talent development, workplace culture and performance.
As community giveback, SookLeng dedicates time to support social enterprises as coach and mentor to founders and their management team.  Her work is based on a framework she developed for her MBA thesis, “Business Sustainability of Social Enterprises”.  Her long-term mission is to show how companies can profitably embed sustainability initiatives into their mainstream business and remain financially viable.
